Drama
I wanted to share with you Caroline's current drama step by step. Caroline was sitting at the table eating her dinner like a big girl. She was doing a great job until some how she fell through the chair on the floor. This, of course, was very upsetting and embarrassing. Please keep in mind that Tucker and I were the only ones watching.
She got a scrape on her ankle and needed me to kiss it to make it better. So, I kissed it about 6 times. At that point she was able to form a full sentence and ask me for a Barbie band-aid to make it better. I got her the band-aid but she had to "take the little papers off." Easy enough. I handed her the band-aid and sat back down. Suddenly I hear her crying again and saying "oh no, it's ruined!" I am not sure that she has ever said "ruined" before. But sure enough, she said it over and over. I went over to see what happened and she told me that it was "too sticky like." It was a band-aid, after all. That band-aid was in fact ruined and so I got her a new one. Thankfully the new band-aid was more cooperative than the first and it went on without a hitch.
I asked her if it was better, but no such luck. Now she needed pants to make her ankle better. She already had a dress on, so to the closet we went to get her some pants. It was magic! The pants made it all better. I forgot to mention that she has been wearing her new princess crown all afternoon...maybe that is what made this situation even more dramatic than normal.

New Addition
Today was an exciting day for Chad...we got a fish tank! I must say, this was not exciting for me. It was just something else that needs my attention. However, Chad has been wanting a dog, so in comparison I am just fine with goldfish! He got a great deal on classifieds so he couldn't resist. Caroline helped him set it up and put the fish in the tank. She was very excited (but I still think Chad gets the prize for most excited!). Finally the excitement wore off and she was able to take a nap. Not long after she went to her room for a nap, I heard Tucker saying "Mommy? Mommy?" Apparently he was finished napping and ready to get up. He still seemed a little sleepy and not quite awake...then he saw the fish tank and started smiling! He loved it, too! I put him right up on the counter so he could check out the fish. He kept saying "fish, Mommy!" So I guess this will not be the only time I am outnumbered in this house. That's OK...I'll take fish any day over a dog!

Bows...
So today I had a little free time while the kids were napping so I made a few more bows. I have made a decision about prices. The smallest ones will start at $2 and the bigger ones will be $5. The polka dot ones pictured below are considered the large ones. The medium ones like those on the top row are $3.
In addition to doing some for Halloween, I am in the process of making some for football season. Of course the orange and white polka dots would be great for any UT fan and the green and white would work for Marshall! If you would like a bow but do not see your team colors, let me know. I have a great ribbon supply store and can probably find the colors you like. Thanks for checking in!

What's Mom Doing?!?!
This isn't exactly an update on what the kids are doing, but rather an update on what I have been doing. Other than baking bread, recruiting bread bakers, getting ready for PMO, organizing date night, getting sitters for date night and taking care of the fam, I have been making bows.
I started making them for Caroline and ended up with more than she will ever wear. I have really enjoyed making them and I especially love picking out the ribbon. I am selling the bows by word of mouth and hopefully I will have a booth at the local craft fair in October. I have attempted Etsy.com but not with the bows yet. I felt like I may have better luck with all my Facebook friends and anyone who may be looking at this.
Here are some of the bows I have made. I am open to requests if there is a specific bow you are looking for and cannot find. Caroline modeled a bow for me but only after I bribed her with candy. When the candy doesn't work for her anymore, don't be surprised to find Tucker modeling the bows...kidding :)
