One Month and Going Strong...

Caroline is 1 month old!

We went to the doctor on Friday and she said that Caroline looks great! She is now 7 lbs 8 ozs! That means she has gained 1 lb 6 ozs in just two weeks! Caroline loves sitting in her bouncy chair and looking around. When she is awake, she is very alert. She is starting to focus more clearly and she will follow your hand with her eyes when you move it in front of her. She enjoys riding in her stroller. Fortunately, we have had a few nice days so I was able to take her out for a stroll. Last Sunday she went to church for the first time. She was very well behaved...thank goodness! Below are some more pictures of Caroline. (This is my first time to update the blog... I am learning!)

First Halloween

Caroline had a prenty uneventful halloween. Her costume was a bit too big - but she tried it on anyway. Doesn't she make a beautiful flower?

Caroline is doing well. She weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces at her last doctor's appointment (Friday, October 27). She had, however, grown a half inch - she is now 20 inches long! She goes back for another visit on November 10.

She is eating and sleeping well. She now drinks about 3 ounces every three hours during the day and every four (or so) hours at night. She is also turning into a really good burper!

Caroline lost her umbilical cord yesterday - and it looks like she's going to have an innie! She also had her first bath yesterday and seemed to tolerate it as long as warm water was being poured on her. She wasn't much on the cold air!

At One Week

One-Week-Old Caroline
For those of you that have been waiting - here are some updated pictures of Miss Caroline. Mary says Caroline is doing well - eating, sleeping, and making dirty diapers. A couple nights last week she even slept for five hours straight! As for Mary, she is feeling better every day. Chad is also doing well. Caroline especially enjoys napping on Daddy's chest.

Mary said the pediatrician commented how big her feet are. Evidently she's got her mom's feet.

At the Hospital

Welcome baby Caroline!

After Mary and Chad arrived at the hospital around 7:15 a.m., little Caroline was born at 1:52p.m. She weighed 6lbs, 9 ounces - and was 19.5 inches long! She has brownish hair. She truly is beautiful! Mary did a great job and so did Chad - he hung in there with Mary the whole time and even cut the cord. Mom, Dad, and baby are doing well and expect to be home Sunday evening.

I will post some pictures below - but they are not the best. The were taken through the nursery window. We'll post more as soon as they become available.

Patton is Anxiously Awaiting her Arrival!

No, she is not here yet. Yes, I am more than ready. Here's is the latest information from the doctor: unless she comes before, we'll be induced on Friday (October 13) morning. Yes, I realize that is "Friday the 13th" - but, at this point, I just want to meet her! Here are some pictures of her room and the belly.
